Starting the third weekend in January, the Poultney Chamber accepts nominations for “Poultney’s Sweetheart” from participating local businesses and organizations and by email. The winner is chosen by a blind drawing and is awarded the honorary title, a plaque designating that person as the winner, a bouquet of flowers, and a basket of prizes provided by sponsors. The winner is also invited to ride in the 4th of July parade.
