Our cats have been Zoom-bombing since 2020, and it’s about time they get the spotlight they deserve. In this fun series, we will introduce you to the felines owned by Middlebury Library staff.
Name: Hinaichigo
Age: 4
Coloration / Breed:Domestic shorthair (black)
Place of Origin:South bank of the Winooski River (Burlington, VT)
Adopted by: Patrick Wallace, Digital Projects & Archives Librarian
Favorite Toy: Feather-on-stickSpecial
Talents: Can expertly transition between exposed beams in the apartment.
Fun facts: Hinaichigo’s name (雛苺) translates roughly to “small strawberry”.
She enjoys staring into bright lights, falling into the bathtub, and any chance to one-up her sister.
In her proudest moment, she finally succeeded in burrowing all the way through the bottom of her cat cave.
If she had a library card…Hinaichigo would use interlibrary loan to borrow A Better Tommorow.
A creature of action over contemplation, she prefers classic John Woo films to books.
