Graduates earn 585 degrees, certificates from Vermont Technical College

About 57.3 percent of the 585 degrees and certificates handed out by Vermont Technical College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Randolph conferred 191 associate's degrees and 129 certificates in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 132 associate's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 121 certificates in licensed practical/vocational nurse training and 29 associate's degrees in veterinary/animal health technology/technician and veterinary assistant.

The college enrolled 1,638 students for 2017-18, including 1,632 in undergraduate programs and 6 in graduate programs.
