72 percent of applicants to Green Mountain College were admitted for fall 2018

At Green Mountain College, 87 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Poultney enrolled 701 students in fall 2018, including 442 in undergraduate and 259 in graduate programs, data shows. 7.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

13 percent of undergraduates are residents of Vermont, and 78 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (68 percent) and Black or African American (5 percent).

The school admitted 72 percent of the 950 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 17 percent enrolled.
