Middlebury College has been awarded the 2026 Carnegie Elective Classification for Community Engagement by the American Council on Education and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
Language professor Clara Yu, who served as president of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and held several leadership positions at Middlebury College, died on January 1, 2026, at age 77.
Julia Ferrante has been appointed as the next vice president for communications and marketing at Middlebury College, effective December 8.
