African American population in Rutland increased by 8 people between 2017 and 2018, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey.

Since 2010 the population has increased by 86 people.

The Vermont municipality that saw the largest population growth in the African American community between the same time period was Poultney.
